Your username is part of your public Amrud profile URL, for example /@amardeep. This policy explains how usernames work.

Username format

• Usernames may contain letters, numbers, and underscores.
• Usernames must be 3 to 30 characters.
• Usernames must be unique on Amrud.

Automatic usernames

When you register, Amrud may automatically create a username based on your name or email, such as amar_15654. You can update it later from your profile settings.

Not allowed

• Usernames that impersonate another person, brand, or organization.
• Usernames that include hate, abuse, threats, explicit language, or illegal references.
• Usernames created mainly to mislead readers, squat on names, or disrupt the platform.

Changes and removal

Amrud may ask you to change a username or may change, reserve, or remove a username if it violates this policy, creates confusion, infringes rights, or is needed for platform safety.
